BC Panel Recommends Against Online Voting

A panel established by Elections BC to look into examining internet voting and whether it should be implemented in British Columbia has recommended against using internet voting in its recently released preliminary report.

The Independent Panel on Internet Voting is made up of five experts in the field of elections, computers and accounting, and includes the Chief Electoral Officer.

The panel is now accepting public feedback on the preliminary report until December 4th, which can be submitted here. The final report is expected to be complete in the Spring.
