Elections Nova Scotia Reminds Third Parties about Advertising Rules during By-elections

Elections Nova Scotia has posted a reminder on its website that Nova Scotia has third party election advertising rules that apply during by-elections: http://electionsnovascotia.ca/sites/default/files/Elections%20Nova%20Scotia%20Advises%20Prospective.pdf

Third parties that incur more than $500 in election advertising expenses during the by-elections must register with Elections Nova Scotia and file an election advertising report following the by-elections.

In addition, third parties may not incur more than $2135.02 in election advertising expenses in a given electoral district during a by-election.

If you are running (or planning to run) any political advertising during the Nova Scotia by-elections (including on the internet) and would like to know if and how the third party election advertising rules apply to you, please contact me.
