Provinces’ Stand on Senate Illustrates Uphill Climb Faced by Abolitionists

Earlier this week Aaron Wherry of Macleans wrote this article on where the Provinces stand on the issue of the Senate:

With the support of all 10 provinces needed for abolition, and at least 7 required for reform, it was always going to be a big challenge to get enough consensus for any meaningful structural change to the Senate. The views expressed by the current Premiers indicate that any reform or abolition of the Senate is going to require a change of heart, or some changes of governments.
