The Peterborough Examiner has published an editorial supporting the decision to delay a by-election in Peterborough so that it coincides with the scheduled upcoming federal election on October 19, 2015:
This effectively means that there will be no by-election – voters in Peterborough will elect a new MP in connection with the federal election.
Peterborough has been without an MP since November.
Do you support delaying the by-election until October, or do you think one should have been held already? Do you find the financial justification for delay persuasive? What about the argument about the historically low voter turnout levels for by-elections?
